The AmeriCorps Individual Placement positions (ages 18-30) are based at various locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Under the direct guidance of a project supervisor, the corpsmember will assist with a variety of projects to expand the capacity and reach of the partner agency. See specific position descriptions for greater detail before applying. Up to 15-20% of the service term is dedicated to technical and personal skills training.
This is a full-time commitment for a year-long AmeriCorps service term. The member will receive a monthly stipend and an education award upon successful completion of the term that may be used for education expenses or to repay qualified student loans.

Location: Housing is not provided by the Corps. Member must secure their own housing near service location.
Open Positions:
State Park Archiving Specialist (Located in Grand Rapids, MN): The purpose of this position is to support and complete various Itasca State Park inventory, archiving and digitizing projects. The member will organize existing archive data available, collect archivable material, utilize Microsoft Suite applications to file data, cross reference and digitize documents, and share appropriate resources.
Minnesota Biological Study Specialist (Located in St. Paul, MN): The member will provide be involved with two major MBS projects: the MBS Document Management Project and the DNR online Rare Species Guide (RSG). Organize, classify, digitize, and archive MBS paper data sheets, field notebooks, documents, and maps from surveys.
Policy and Planning Specialist (Located in St. Paul, MN): This position will aid in the policy and planning for the state parks, state recreation areas, and state forest campgrounds.
DataSpecialist (Located in St. Paul, MN): This member will work with the MN DNR IT dept and MN Parks and Trails staff and local parks and trails staff to complete the information for Park and Trails management areas in our EIS data base.
