The AmeriCorps Individual Placement positions (ages 18-30) are based at various locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Under the direct guidance of a project supervisor, the corpsmember will assist with a variety of projects to expand the capacity and reach of the partner agency. See specific position descriptions for greater detail before applying. Up to 15-20% of the service term is dedicated to technical and personal skills training.
This is a full-time commitment for a year-long AmeriCorps service term. The member will receive a monthly stipend and an education award upon successful completion of the term that may be used for education expenses or to repay qualified student loans.

Habitat Position:
Remote Sensing Field Technician Specialist (Located in St. Paul, MN): - FILLED This project involves participation in a variety of research and monitoring projects led by Monarch Joint Venture in the Midwest. Monitoring may include remote sensing (flying drones, processing images, supporting algorithm development) or field surveys.
Central Forestry Support (Located in St. Paul, MN): - FILLED This position will provide support to Forestry Region Staff Specialists in silviculture, native plant community surveys, forest health, state lands timber, public outreach, urban and community forestry and fire operations.
Invasive Plant Management Specialist (Located in St. Croix Falls, WI): This position will support high park priority invasive plant management and vegetation restoration practices in the Great Lakes Invasive Plant Management Team Network of National Parks. Specialists will assist with manual and chemical plant control, native plant seeding/planting, equipment maintenance, data collection, data QAQC, report writing, identification of native and nonnative plants, outreach and education, and management planning.
